Clone Trooper Tup served in the 501st Legion under Captain Rex during the Clone Wars. He is best known for being the first clone to suffer a malfunction of his inhibitor chip, which led him to prematurely execute Order 66. This event is central to The Clone Wars Season 6 and marks the beginning of the Republic’s hidden plan coming dangerously close to exposure.

During a mission on Ringo Vinda, Tup suddenly assassinated Jedi General Tiplar, shocking both the clones and the Jedi Council. At the time, neither Tup nor his fellow troopers understood why he acted. His behavior deteriorated rapidly afterward, showing signs of confusion, distress, and mental collapse. This incident triggered an investigation led by Captain Rex and Fives, ultimately uncovering the existence of the inhibitor chips implanted in all clones.

Tragically, Tup died before the full truth could be revealed to the Jedi Order. His death was officially explained as a parasite-induced illness, a cover story orchestrated by the Sith to preserve secrecy. Tup’s fate directly influenced Fives’ later actions and set the stage for the failure to prevent Order 66.
