Description
The E-11D Blaster was an improved variant of the standard E-11 blaster rifle used by Imperial stormtroopers during the height of the Galactic Empire. It appears most prominently in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, where it is carried by Imperial security forces stationed aboard the Death Star and deployed on Scarif.
Compared to the original E-11, the E-11D Blaster featured a reinforced barrel, improved cooling vents, and an integrated folding stock. These upgrades allowed for greater accuracy and sustained fire, particularly in close-quarters or defensive scenarios. The weapon was well suited for guarding high-value installations such as the Death Star, Imperial research facilities, and secure archives.
Imperial stormtroopers assigned to security details rather than planetary occupation were more likely to be equipped with the E-11D. Its compact profile made it effective in corridors, hangars, and urban environments. During the Battle of Scarif, E-11D Blasters were used extensively by Imperial forces defending the Citadel Tower against Rebel infiltrators.
The E-11D Blaster reflects the Empire’s continued refinement of infantry weapons following the Clone Wars. Rather than radically redesigning blasters, the Empire focused on incremental improvements to reliability and control.
As a minifigure accessory, the E-11D Blaster is accurate for late-Imperial era displays, particularly Rogue One–era stormtroopers, Death Star personnel, and elite security units.
