Description

The Barrett M82A2 .50 Cal is a rare bullpup variant of the legendary Barrett M82 series. Developed in the late 1980s, it was designed as a shoulder-fired anti-materiel rifle chambered in .50 BMG (12.7×99mm NATO). Unlike the standard M82A1, the A2 positioned the magazine and action behind the shooter’s shoulder, creating a unique layout intended for better handling.

Although innovative, the M82A2 was produced only in very limited numbers due to awkward ergonomics and lack of demand. Nonetheless, it remains a fascinating piece of firearms history, representing Barrett’s experimentation with new ways of delivering .50-caliber firepower in portable form.

Capable of engaging targets well over 1,500 meters away, the M82A2 retained the same powerful ballistics, as its more famous sibling. It could destroy light vehicles, disable equipment, and pierce fortified cover with ease.

For minifigure collectors, the M82A2 accessory is a rare gem. A weapon most enthusiasts know only from books, museums, and occasional appearances in films or video games. Its unusual design ensures it stands out in any minifigure arsenal.
