Description

The SR-2 submachine gun “Veresk” is a Russian submachine gun introduced in the late 1990s by TsNIITochMash. Chambered for the high-velocity 9×21mm Gyurza cartridge, the SR-2 was designed to provide greater armour penetration than traditional SMGs like the MP5. Compact and lightweight, it remains in service with Russian security forces and select military units.

Measuring just 603 mm with stock extended and 367 mm when folded, the SR-2 is incredibly portable for close-quarters combat. Its 20- or 30-round magazines provide ample firepower, while its unique cartridge allows it to defeat soft body armour at ranges up to 200 meters. The SR-2 features a gas-operated system more commonly found in rifles, giving it exceptional reliability compared to conventional blowback-operated submachine guns.
