Description

This minifigure is a German Waffen-SS Officer, one of the most recognizable and controversial figures of the German military during World War II. The Waffen-SS began as Hitler’s elite political guard, but expanded into a vast multinational fighting force numbering nearly a million men by the war’s end. Officers of the Waffen-SS commanded units that fought on nearly every front — from the snows of the Eastern Front to the fields of Normandy and the Ardennes.

The officer’s uniform stood apart from ordinary Wehrmacht attire. Distinctive features included the black or field-grey tunic, adorned with SS runes, rank insignia, and cuff titles specific to divisions.
