The French Army Infantry Fusilier Officers were important staff in Napoleon’s Grand Armée.

In the mid 19th century Napoleon had many regiments in his imperial army. The Fusiliers were designated ordinary infantry but none-the-less a very effective professional fighting force. Capable of marching to the drum under musket fire and cannon, the officers drove ‘Les Bleus’ forward unrelentingly towards the enemy. .
