Description

The Berreta M9 was adopted in 1985 as the official sidearm of the U.S. Armed Forces. The M9 replaced the M1911 after over seven decades of service. Chambered in 9x19mm Parabellum, the M9 offered higher magazine capacity (15 rounds compared to the M1911’s 7) and reduced recoil, making it effective for rapid fire in combat. Based on the Beretta 92FS design, the M9 quickly became a global symbol of military modernization and NATO standardization.

It saw widespread use during the Gulf War, Afghanistan, and Iraq, serving faithfully until being phased out in favor of the SIG Sauer M17 in recent years. Despite this, the Beretta M9 remains a respected sidearm recognized worldwide for its accuracy, reliability, and sleek Italian engineering.
